I jumped into my car after my meet today, took out my key put It in the ignition, and tried to turn it. it wouldn't budge. after repeating this process several times with no luck, I called my mom to arange to have her pick me up and to bring the spare key.maybe it had something to with the problem? the wheel was rock hard, and wouldn't budge either.
I eventually solved the problem, Google told me to turn the key while also trying to turn the wheel. apparently it had something to do with a stuck wheel lock that just needed some pressure exerted on it to come loose. it was scary to think that there was something wron gwith my car though...

My brother had that happen to him a few weeks ago. Most people don't know about that. I only know that from years of working on Ford trucks and having people complain they can't turn the key. Just takes the magic touch.

Yup all you needed. Sometimes it can also be that in case of automatic it's not totally engaged in park, and on cars that have ignition immobilizers, when the key wears it won't star from the worn key and you need to get the one you don't use as much, if you have a valet key, good idea to keep it in your wallet. If it's just a regular flat key. Those keyless cars that start by proximity look better and better every day, unless you have friends that know they can move them on you.
